Chapter 38. Is This Fate?

I regretted what I said to her, but there's nothing to do about it anyway. This is why I don't want to see her or even make close contact with her. I said things I would regret in the end, and now this is what happened.

"You were pretty harsh back there," Lexie said in a serious tone while she was driving to Dahlia's school. We're going to pick her up before we go somewhere else.

"I don't care," I lied. I still care, but as much as possible, I don't want to be involved with her now.

"Hey, we don't throw words like that at someone, okay?" She said as she finally parked her car.

"Then what do you want me to say to her earlier?" I sarcastically asked.

"You're acting like a little brat right now, Rosie. At least show some kindness to that person; we don't know what's happening to her lately," she said worriedly.

"Do we even need to concern ourselves with her?" I asked.
