Chapter 27

The snowstorm is over. It's morning. Melisa got a good sleep, but Ajdin did not. She knows he didn't sleep well last night. Maybe because of the inclement weather, or something else bothering him. Melisa can't tell what it is. All she knows is that Ajdin still cares about her, based on his comfort last night. He hates her but still cares.

Ajdin was already awake when Melisa woke up. She is sitting on the edge of the bed scrolling through her phone. He is waiting for Melisa to wake up.

Melisa got up from bed. She walked to the window to check what had happened outside the whole night. She peered out the window. The cold morning wind blows on her face. She can see outside that the street is still covered with snow, but she thinks they can continue their trip. While she looks out the window, she hears Ajdin talking to her, so she turns around and faces him.

"Melisa, since the snowstorm has stopped, we can go home now," Ajdin said while he slid
