Chapter 28. Blackwater Isle

“Hold your horses!”

“Wake up, we’re here.”

Cataleia felt a small tap on her shoulder. She opened her eyes, and her hearing was shrouded by the noise of the bustling city. She could hear the commotion from outside. The carriage rumbled as Aiden slowly turned back into his human form.

“Careful.” Ajax told his brother from the window. Aiden walks towards the entrance of the carriage and then opens it for them. He then opens his bulky arms to Lei. “Come, I’ll help you down.”

The girl climbed out of her seat and was slowly put to the ground by Aiden. Ajax followed her next. They found themselves in a huge city. People were staring at them as they walked past the roads.

“Where are we?”

“Blackwater Isle.” Aiden replied to her. “Take my arm if you want.”
