Valerie Will POV

“What do you mean you can’t bring the kids back home tonight?” I demanded, my voice rising in anger. “Patrick, are you out of your mind?”

“Valerie, calm down.” He said with a frustrated sigh. “I tried my best. She refused to give them to me. What did you expect me to do?”

I scoffed. “I don’t know. She’s your family member, find a way to deal with her.” I said, my patience was wearing thin. “You promised me you were going to bring them back.”

“I didn’t make any promises, Valerie.”

I rolled my eyes.

How was he so comfortable with the boys being away? The thought of them being with Lisa made my skin crawl.

Who knows what she was even doing to them?

I wouldn’t be able to get an ounce of sleep if he didn’t bring them back.

“I asked you for her number and you refused, you said you would take care of it,” I replied through gritted teeth.

Patrick let out a deep exhale. “Valerie, she wants us to
