Patrick Banks POV

I picked up another car from the house and headed to a floral shop. I wanted to buy some flowers and apology cards for Valerie.

I still remember her favorite flowers.

In no time, I was on my way to her hotel.

But as soon as I pulled up in the driveway, I saw her walking to a car. I paused for a moment. Then I followed the car as they drove out of the hotel.

I was curious to know where she was going.

Plus, I needed to talk to her.

I made sure the driver didn’t notice that I was following them. After driving for a while, the car stopped at a building.

It looked familiar.

After thinking for a while, I realized it was her best friend’s house. Were they still in touch? But the time I asked her about Valerie, she told me she had no idea where Valerie had disappeared.

Maybe she just told a lie to cover up for her friend.

I parked a few blocks away, I was determined to wait until she was done before approach
