Riley's POV 

"Not that I dislike you staying here with me but you are being a pain in me and Christian's asses right now. Especially Christian. I'm the only one allowed to be a pain in Christian's ass." Diane said as she sat next to me on her couch with a bowl of cheese balls.

"Hey!" I heard Christain scream from inside their house. I was sure he was replying to what Daine said.

"Don't hey me. It's true, you know it and you love it." She said back.

I could hear him chuckling. "Okay, so maybe I do but you are not supposed to go around telling people. It makes me seem weak."

"You are." She said to him with a laugh.

My chest tightened in pain at their banter. It was also obvious that they were into each other. It did not matter what Diane said to him or what he did to her. They were obviously in love with each other. And it hurt that this is something I would have had with Ash if I had just…if we had stayed together.
