Riley's POV

I was almost out of my house. I had to pass through the back and try to avoid the paparazzi that were still camped outside my house. I thought they would have moved on to Carlos's news but I thought wrong. No wonder I hadn't seen any paparazzi camped outside his house.

The calls began. It started with her incessant calls and I tried hard to ignore it. Actually, I ignored her calls but I should have known that would not be enough to stop her. I was already at work when I heard a knock on the door and in walked my mother.

She looked put together. Her blonde hair was in extravagant curls. She wore designer clothing, a mixture of Dolce and Gucci. I already felt the dread coming with whatever it was that had brought her here.
