Chapter 25

Ash's POV

Diane invited me into her cosy home. I was expecting she would say something that would likely piss me off but she never did so. That's rare for her but who was I to complain?

"The paparazzi are following you?" Riley asked me as I heard footsteps approaching us. I had an inkling it was Christian making his way towards us.

"Something like that," I said to her as I tried hard not to wince because I was lying through my teeth.

Too bad, Riley saw straight through me. She always did so.

"You are lying."

"Not really. It's more like half a lie….if that makes any sense." I said to her as Diane coughed to cover up the laughter that almost spilt out from her.

"Of course, it makes no sense. I cannot believe you lied to me just so you could come into my sister's home." She said to me in a shrill voice.

If I was in a cartoon, I'm pretty sure I would be bleeding out of my ears right now but then again, thank God I'm not in one.
