Ash's POV

I glared at Van. I was so close to having my way with Riley but he just had to show up and disrupt the moment.

"Did I interrupt something?" He asked me with a smirk.

I feel like he knows that he interrupted something but he was pretending not to know.

I moved into the kitchen and took a beer for myself. I needed to calm down and a cold beer was the best way to do that now.

"I have news." He told me.

"I don't want to hear it."

"Stop being so grumpy. You are supposed to be happy for me as a friend." He told me.

"I don't even know what you're talking about. How do you expect me to be happy for you?" I asked him as I took a sip of my beer.

"I asked Rain to marry me." He told me.

"So?"

"Wow, can't you at least pretend to be happy for your friend?" He asked incredulously.

"I already knew you were going to ask her to marry you one day. It's a bit earlier than I expected but you guys have been dating for years
