Chapter 57

Ash's POV

Riley wouldn't talk with me. She had been quiet ever since we came back from her mother's place and that's since two days ago. I mean don't get me wrong. It's not like she doesn't want to speak with me or isn't speaking with me, it's more like she says small words to me. She gives me the occasional smile. Like the one she normally gives her acquaintances. I'm bothered. I don't like this version of Riley. I know there is something wrong but I cannot really....scratch that. perhaps I can. 

I think Jane also noticed the change in her behaviour because she gave me a weird look when Riley was speaking to her like she was a very small child. I had to beg Diane to take Jane, which she reluctantly did and decided to speak with Riley. I was not going to let her shy away from this, not this time. I wanted to know what made her this sad. One moment she was mad and the next she was extremely sad. It was like a battle with her emotions these days.
