Chapter 10
“Why do I have to be the one sending your messages?” Liam asked for what seemed to be the umpteenth time that evening. And for the umpteenth time, Dom waved his question away and proceeded with what he was doing. This time, he was eating.
“Dominic.”
“What?” His friend shot him a look of irritation.
“Wait? What’s that look on your face? Irritation?” Liam was all but in Dom’s face, and the other man pushed his face away, palm covering his entire face.
“You’re bothering me. I’m eating.” He turned his full attention back to his food.
“Well, you’re bothering me. I have places to be.” Liam said mockingly and turned his face to Dominic’s phone.
His eyes shot back to his friend when he heard the muttered “Yeah, right,” he had fully intended that Liam heard.
“Yo. Dominic. Why are you making me do this, man? Ohhhh,” realization dawned on him. “You’ve lost your touch. How long has it been? Twelve years? Thirty?”
“Shut up.”
