Ryle? Did she know any Ryle? She wasn’t so sure, but she knew she had seen this face before. She glanced at him, trying to remember where she had seen him. Her wrist burnt from how tight he had held her, and she fought the urge to rub it.

Just then, the image flashed in her head. He said his name was Dominic too. Dom, from the dating app. Her eyes shot to his face. It was him, Dominic Scott, the Eleganza Boss she had been texting earlier. He had said he had a proposal party to attend.

“Dom?” He frowned at being called that. “You’re Dominic Scott, from Eleganza. This was the proposal you had to attend tonight?” She almost laughed in surprise. “It’s you!”

“Hold on, you’re that Gen?” The surprise was obvious in his voice.

How could the same woman he had been looking for be the same woman he had been texting and planning to ask on a date, hoping she would be willing to get into a contractual marriage with him?
