After the incident at the parking lot the other night, Trevor had all but banned Gen from The Corner Bristo for a week, totally disregarding her protests and assurance that she was well and unharmed.

Almost a week later, Gen was grateful for the time off and the time she had spent with Zara, but she was also fed up with being home.

So this morning, she strode into The Corner Bristo after seeing Zara off to her bus. She knew Trevor would give her an earful, but she didn’t care. She could not spend another minute at home doing nothing.
