Chapter 9
“Gen? You have a call.” Rodney, one of Richie’s boys, whispered to Gen. Her phone was usually away when she worked, but since she was on a short break, she had it out.
“I’ll be there. Thank you, Rodney.” She whispered back with a smile. She had barely put the phone to her ear when Tiana’s voice hit her ear.
“Girl, what are you doing?”
“Working, obviously.”
“Have you seen your profile? It’s buzzing, even with that horrible picture of yours.”
“Really, Tiana? That’s why you called during work hours?”
There was a second of silence before she heard her cousin’s voice again. “Girl, shut up. We’re both on break. Look at your profile though. You’ll be occupied for the next three months without repeat dates.” She squealed.
“I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet,” Gen sighed.
“Who says you have to start going out immediately?”
“I don’t, right?” Her voice was brighter.
