Chapter 30

The day was so slow, or maybe she was exhausted. The weekend had been hectic, but that had been expected, hadn’t it? A small smile played on her lips. Zara had been hyped up the entire weekend. They had gone to the movies and had ice cream, they’d gone on a bazillion rides, then baked on Sunday before going to have their hair done.

It was an amazing weekend, but now the new week had begun, and Gen was tired. It seemed like the whole city was tired because why on Earth were there so few customers today? She slammed the towel down on the counter and walked away, ignoring the curious stares from Taylor and others.

She had snapped a couple of times today, and she felt awful about it, but she didn’t feel any better as it was, so she’d rather avoid talking with anyone. She pushed the back door open and stepped outside, hoping the air out back would make her feel better. Dominic was to blame for all this. He was the reason for her persisting foul mood.
