Chapter 37
Dom hated to admit it, but he somewhat saw Trevor King as a threat. The man was sitting opposite him, body tense, his eyes darting around for Geneva, who was most likely asleep. Trevor said he had received an SOS message from Gen at about the same time Dom had come home.
Hot fury flashed in Dom’s blood upon realizing that he had not received any message from Gen, meaning that she trusted King with her safety more than she did with him. Not that he could blame her—they barely saw or spoke to each other. It still hurt, though, that he was in no capacity her husband except on legal documents.
Actually, no. She was his wife, and there were things only he was supposed to do for her. He was the only one she should call when she felt like she was in danger, not anybody else and certainly not King, who was in love with her. It was so obvious, even a blind person could see it.
