Chapter 19. Grayson

The next morning, Allison was able to wake up early despite her lack of sleep due to overthinking. Before leaving, she told Grandma Nora that she would only pay her mom a visit first as she had already missed the latter but promised she would attend the parenting class before it started.

She was on her way out of the village when she suddenly heard someone call her from behind.

“Nerd!” Allison’s body automatically froze when she heard it; her heart skipped a beat. The only one who called her that was none other than Brent.

In anticipation, she immediately turned her head, only to see Grayson and not the person she expected. The former approached her, running and panting. Allison suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable looking at him in his sweatpants and t-shirt with his hair damp with sweat.

“It’s still early for a walk,” Grayson stated. When his eyes rolled over Allison’s outfit, he then added, “On the second thought, I think you’re not here for a walk?”
