Chapter 49. Reunion

Isabella ran to Alex and held him in a warm embrace.

“Oh Alex, I was so worried,” she murmured, her lips pressed against his body. He held her close to himself.

“It’s alright, Bella. I am fine,” he told her. Isabelle sniffed the smell of him and the scent hit her satisfactorily. She had missed him so much and it felt like years already. She did not want to let go but moved away so she would see him. She held his face in her hands.

“Were you hurt, did anyone touch you?” she moved his face left and right and searched for any bruises.
