Chapter 102. Riley’s Missing

Jane stood up when Dave walked into the living room from the bedroom all dressed up. He was adjusting his wrist watch while descending the stairs.

“Where are you going?” she asked him as he approached her.

“Oh hi beautiful,” he walked closer to her and placed a soft kiss on her lips without warning and continued adjusting his sleeves. Jane was stunned for a moment but quickly got herself.

“I asked where you were going?” she asked again, and this time he looked at her.

“There is an update about Bob’s death,” he waited for a while and thought if it was necessary to tell her everything. He decided against it. It means he would have to start some long explanation he might not have the time to complete since Jane knew very little about Bob and the event around it. It was best not to even start it.

“So we would be going there to conclude some investigations,” he told her simply. Jane did not really get exactly where he was going but decided not to push it. Sh
