Chapter 151. Nothing to Lose

The phone rang, and when Jason did not pick up the first time, she called again, shaking her leg impatiently. It was almost going over before he picked up.

“Why was it taking you so long to take the call?” she hissed into the phone.

“Relax,” Jason said, sounding relaxed himself. Why wouldn’t he be? When he was the one demanding from her, Bethany thought angrily within her. “I did not think you would call back soon. That was sooner than I expected.”

“Where can I meet you?” she asked, not having much time to waste on small talk.

“I see you are in for business already, and that is good. Well, I will send you a location,” he said, and she shook her head.

“No, I have a perfect place in mind,” she told him. She did not want to go down to one of those low and cheap motels because she knew he could not afford to pay for a better one. He must have thought the same for he agreed immediately without question.
