Alexander, Dave and Jane sat in the living room in silence for a while, none of them talking about the incident with Bethany earlier.

“So how’s Isabella doing now?” Dave cleared his throat and asked, breaking the silence.

“Just fine,” Alex shrugged lightly.

Ever since Bethany left, he had been thinking about her. No, not because he had feelings for her or anything, but wondering the effrontery she had walking to his home and confronting him.
