“But why get things at a lower price when you can afford to buy them at full price?”

“Selena. My dear sister. Think of the poor. It is not every time you abuse money because your parents are wealthy. Jade noticed a sale where earrings were on display. “Let’s head over there.” She pointed. “I’ve always wanted a lot. Trust me, you will not see earrings as lovely as these on a regular day.” 

“Okay.” Selena was dragged away. As they came to a stop in front of the earrings, Jade indicated which ones she wanted. Selena’s gaze wandered around. She hoped to see Xavier, but she also had a strong desire to see someone else, but she was not sure who.

“This will look stunning on you, dear,” the saleswoman said. Selena’s thoughts were disrupted. She turned to confront the woman. Selena gasped slightly when she saw the bracelet. It had an adorned design. It was shaped like a white wolf, but it was sown rather than ceramic. “Take it, dear.”

Selena took it gently from t
