They had both laughed at the internet meme and at old Instagram posts that brought back memories. It was the first time they would spent time together. Selena used to be the type of girl who preferred to lock the door and only let her friends in. Her entire family, with the exception of her father, was off limits. 

She wondered now if things would have turned out differently if she had felt the same way about them as she did about her father.
