Chapter 7

Hadley gulped at the newly laid rules and the room suddenly felt suffocated to her. 

The rules aren't much but why does it feel so hard and unimaginable to her.

Married couples won't touch each other? Hadley pondered looking at the man that was avoiding her like a plague.

Looks more serious than I thought, hardly whispering in her head as she gulps.

"So you mean I can't touch you? Not even a little?" Hadley inquired, poking her head forward but a glare from Maurice stopped her actions.

"I know you are not really daft not to understand my words so I am going to implore Miss Ella not to go overboard," Maurice says but Hadley knew that he was threatening her.

Maurice looked at the girl that was looking at him with a Stony face and he wondered if she was really the docile Ella he knew.
