Chapter 11

A car stopped just in front of a house, and out of it came a pair of slim legs. Audrey had decided that she would conduct an investigation, but she didn’t know how to start. She wasn’t even close to this man, so how would she learn anything about him?

It was when Henry came back in the night and unlocked the door that she apologized for her wrongdoings. Henry was surprised at her actions, but he shrugged it off, not like he cared. Now she was in front of Ryan’s house. She needed someone she could trust, so she wanted to go to her best friend, but she had been acting weird recently.

She knocked on Ryan’s door, but there was no reply. She knew Ryan didn’t go to work today, and that was why she came. She knocked again, but still no response. She searched for her phone in her bag, but she did not find it.

“God, did I forget my phone at home?” she mumbled. She looked at the door again, and she tried to open it, and surprisingly, it opened.

“Ryan,” she called as sh
