Chapter 30
Audrey was seen shivering on the cold floor of the cell. She had slept off beside the door. It had been almost a week already since she was arrested. The door opened and it hit her, waking her up, and she stood up.
She was dragged out of the cell and taken to an empty room with only a chair and a table. She sat down and was cuffed to the table. She looked around and tried to pull the cuff.
“Let me go!” she yelled.
Ryan walked in and rushed to hug her.
“Did they touch you?” he asked.
“Ryan,” Audrey burst into tears.
“It wasn’t me, I didn’t kidnap her,” she wailed. “Get me out of here, please,” she begged.
“I know it wasn’t you, Audrey, but all the evidence is pointing towards you. You are the only one who seems to hate her,” Ryan said.
“I have people who can testify. I am not the one; it’s Henry’s mother,” Audrey said, and Ryan arched his brow.
“She was there when the incident happened. How is it her?” Ryan asked.
