Chapter 34

Octavia walked out of the station and boarded a cab that took her back home. She found her luggage where she left it and took it back inside the house.

Her phone rang, and she picked it up after checking the caller ID.

“Why are you not here yet?” the person asked.

“I changed my mind,” she said.

“I hope you know I am not getting you a refund,” the caller said.

“I canceled the trip already, so why won’t you give me a refund?” Octavia asked. She had had enough of today’s drama and couldn’t wait to end the call.

The guy hung up, and she groaned.

“That crazy bastard,” she said and dropped her phone on the table. She opened her fridge and found it empty. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair.

She entered her bedroom and changed into something comfortable but cool.
