Chapter 33

He sighed and drove home; he didn’t know when tears dropped from his eyes. He didn’t plan for this to happen. He just couldn’t watch his business fall apart, all he had worked for, all he thought his daughter would be the boss of one day.

“It’s not my fault; I am not heartless,” he said to himself.

He parked the car and entered the house; he met someone sitting on the couch. He approached the person, and he turned out to be Ryan.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

“Mr. Logan,” Ryan called.

“What do you want?” he asked.

“You heard what happened to Audrey, right? Why aren’t you helping? Why aren’t you saying anything? We know Audrey can never do such a thing,” Ryan explained and fell to his knees.

“I know you don’t want me to be with her, but please, help her. She can’t handle all this suffering; let’s work together and get Audrey out of there. She doesn’t deserve the treatment,” Ryan said, but Logan turned his face to the other side.
