Chapter 15. He Can’t Resist You

Ellie’s POV

After successfully breaking free and threatening James with the police, I calmed myself and replied.

“Our relationship is in the past. Whatever we had it’s not there anymore. There is no reason kindling, no reviving, no magic that can make it work again.” I was so direct and even if I was calmer than before, I still had a ton of seriousness observable on my face.

“So do not bother me ever again about this relationship thing or any other thing or I’ll file a restraining order,” I added. Silence filled the place as the emotions scattered around creating a tense environment where at one end the impossible was trying to happen and on the other end there was hope.

Regardless of the end, all I knew was I deserved better than this. I held my line perfectly and didn’t deserve to get stabbed in the back.
