Chapter 17. For Happiness

James’ POV

The fact that Ellie is working with my rival company just doesn’t sit right with me.

The thought of us still being together clouds my mind. Over the past few days, I can’t seem to focus on anything around me as my thoughts always end up with her.

This is bad, I have to do something, I have to win her back. I thought of different approaches but nothing seemed to stick.

I fell back on my bed and covered my head with my pillow.

While my head was under the pillow I noticed a movement on the door. Someone just stepped in.

“Breakfast is here,” she said. Despite her cute voice and efforts Evelyn just won’t cut it.

I hesitated in taking off the pillow and looked at her.

I suddenly realized that we slept together but I didn’t see her when I woke up.
