Chapter 83. The Accident

Evelyn’s POV

I rushed to the hospital as soon as I received the call about James being involved in an accident.

I entered the hospital building and made my way to the reception.

“Good morning, ma’am; what can we do for you,” one of the nurses at the reception asked.

“I am here to see a patient who was brought in here last night. He was involved in an accident,” I said, catching my breath.

“Oh, Mr James Anderson. He is at the VIP room number four on the third floor.”

“Thank you,” I said before storming off. I got into the elevator, and in no time, I was on the third floor. The door opened and I took off, searching for the VIP rooms.

I located it and I opened the door to the room only to find James in a critical state. As I walked in, I met doctors inside who were doing some check-ups on him.

“You must be Evelyn,” one of the doctors said as I approached them.

“Yes, I am a doctor. A pleasure to meet you,” I said, and we both
