"Give me your gun," I said to Lexcis. He's upset and outraged with me for even thinking about it, but he puts a pistol in my hand. It is a simple decision. Me? Or them? I already know the answer. I cock the gun before I can walk away. Lexcis permits me because he believes I'm going to shoot Damon. It's what I'm planning on, but not what I'm expecting.

"Really, baby? Are you going to shoot me now?" Damon grins whenever he sees me. I can immediately hear many protests coming from Zave.
