Her breathing quickens when I massage her, she's in pain. A shit ton of it. I press my thumbs on her shoulder blades, and I hear the breath she sucks in. When I feel wetness on my neck, I know she's crying.

"It's okay. Let it out, baby," I say, continuing to knead her muscles gently.

"I thought you were dead," she hiccups. I wrap my arm around her waist and caress her thigh with my other hand, maintaining my steady movements. It soothes her, so I won't ever stop.

She hums softly. I wipe her tears away, brushing my hand over her back again, trying to relieve her in any way, shape, or form that I can.
