Chapter 392. Staring & Hugs

"Done staring?" Lexcis asked me, his gaze amused and annoyed at the same time.

"No, not yet. Laurence, could you get up and spin a few times for me?" I said, trying to break Laurence out of his trance.

Lexcis chuckled, and so did I, but Laurence remained unmoved. He continued staring at that same spot, lost in his own world.

"Okay. Uhm," Aldric spoke up, breaking the tension.

"Good morning, sunshine!" I exclaimed, rushing towards him for a hug. I knew he was still upset from yesterday, but his incessant talking had been too much.

"Morning," he sighed, bracing himself for the impending hug.

He hugged me anyway, though I could feel his reluctance. "Still mad at me?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"No," he sighed yet again.

"Good because I need you to be happy and smile."
