Chapter 33. Backstab
Charlotte’s POV
The second day of our reconnaissance mission went by even quicker than the last. It saddened me that we were leaving that same night. Deep inside, I wanted to stay in this village; the people were actually nice and didn’t expect anything from me. I also liked the fact that everyone stayed as humans, no shifting or anything. Back when I couldn’t shift, I always felt jealous of children who could shift while I couldn’t. But now, staying in my human form, I feel like I belong.
Iris continued to train with her new weapons, the throwing disk, while Trinity already got the hang of making healing potions.
I also tried to start seasoning my food, but I was bad at it; I kept adding too much salt to the meat, making it almost inedible.
Hunter went back to the guild to stock up on wolfsbane; it seemed like every guild had a small stock of it for werewolf hunters in case of emergencies. We made him put it in a sealed container because of how stinky
