Chapter 36. The Invitation

Charlotte’s POV

We noticed that the village was no longer in the same spot we left, meaning only one thing.

“There was an attack,” said Iris.

“The world sure is more chaotic now, one fight here, another fight there. I just wanna live in peace and create drugs,” Trinity said, annoyed.

“I hope everyone is safe. Also, Hunter, are you okay?” I asked as Hunter was still on my back. He didn’t answer, but I did hear his snore?! He’s sleeping in this kind of situation? What sort of man is he?

“Let’s keep looking around. I haven’t smelled anyone’s scent yet, but they can’t be that far,” Iris continued.

The three of us in wolf form continued to look around the forest in the dead of night, hoping that we didn’t have to encounter any strange creatures. We got close to a lake, but as if fate wanted to spit in our faces, we encountered a strange creature. It was a man glowing bright blue with a skull necklace; he walked towards us, and I saw Iris eyes sh
