Chapter 72. Pillars of the Krent Pack

Kiana’s POV

The castle was huge from the outside and had five towers, three on the left side and two on the right. I entered it, and it was lit with several torches. What I didn’t expect to see were bones littered everywhere and bodies hanging upside down. It stank of blood and meat inside, a very putrid smell, but I had to endure it anyway.

I went in closer and saw five individuals sitting on thrones, eating meat—not animal meat, but human meat. It creeped me out, and I almost fell over. They all stared at me like I was an insect, and the killing intent I felt from them made my werewolf instincts want to move to another region. All the werewolves here could probably kill me with ease, yet here I was trying to bargain with them. I had to be really careful.
