Chapter 78. Unspoken Emotions

Ava's POV

The next morning I woke up with a splitting headache. The ones I expected to get after crying myself to sleep yesterday. I heard a knock at the door. "Inna minute," I said as I got off the bed placing a hand on my forehead. The headache was terrible.

I opened the door and there Beth stood with excitement written all over her face. "The beta has woken up." She said excitedly.

"What?" I asked surprised as I rushed after her to uncle's room. We got to his room and there he was slowly rising to a sitting position on the bed. The elders were around him. I went towards him and sat by his side.

"Are you okay?" I asked him and he nodded smiling.

"Mary told me the battle was victorious." He said.

I gave him a weak smile. "It was, uncle,"

He nodded and looked at me. "Why are you so here early? And where's that possessive husband of yours?" He asked, throwing questions at me.
