Claire’s POV

“Don’t be. They’re your family too,” I told him.

Aunt and Luke talked about the company, and aunt shows his appreciation towards Luke. We were all having fun until Cole finally called me, so I excused myself and answered the phone call.

“Hey,” I said, smiling even though he couldn’t see me.

“Hey, when are you coming home?’ he asked me immediately.

“I don’t know yet, but maybe sooner. Why? Is everything okay back home? I haven’t heard from Caleb yet. How is he?” I asked.

“He’s fine. He’s just very busy with work.”

“How about Dad and Mom?”

“They’re doing just fine, although they miss you. I mentioned with them what you told me about Luke, they’re happy to know you two are finally back together,” he said, I can feel him smiling on the other line.

“I’m happy as well, Cole. I hope everything will be okay now,” I said.

“It will be. Everything happens for a reason, go home now, we miss you already,” he said bef
