Chapter 64

Claire’s POV

Time was so fast, I fell asleep throughout the flight. Luke and I was looking for the car that was supposed to pick us up. We were standing waiting until a limo stopped in front of us. A man in his 40’s got out of the car and greeted us. he took our luggage and we went inside the car.

Luke and the man, who’s apparently our driver talked to each other until Luke introduced me as his wife. The man smiled at me and congratulated us on our recent wedding.

As we got nearer to meeting Luke’s parents, I got so nervous. I guess this is normal when you are meeting your in-laws, but Luke held my hand tightly to comfort me. I feel a bit relieved knowing that I am with Luke. As the car stopped in front of the big house, I knew instantly that this is his parents’ house.

“Mom! We’re home,” Luke said as soon as we entered the house.

“Sir, they are in the backyard. They’re waiting for you already,” The woman said; it might be their helper.
