Chapter 167
Sienna’s POV
My heart thudded painfully in my chest as I stepped closer to the massive golden doors which appeared out of the mist. They were enormous and engraved with intricate symbols.
The second trial.
I swallowed hard, my fingers trembling as I reached out. The metal felt cold beneath my skin. Then, without warning, the doors groaned and swung open on their own.
I hesitated only a moment before stepping through.
The Hall of Regrets.
It wasn’t a hall exactly. It was stretching farther than I could see, the floor made of polished stone that was clear like water. Every wall was lined with mirrors, hundreds no, thousands of them. Some tall, some cracked, some fogged, but all with shifting reflections.
