Kieran’s POV

I could see it in her eyes immediately she looked at me. It took a while before it dawned on me that she was passing a message through our eye contact like she had already said goodbye.

My chest tightens so hard it feels like something inside me just snapped.

“No…” The word leaves my mouth before I can stop it. My feet are already moving, pushing through bodies, through chaos, through blood and noise and everything trying to slow me down.
