Kieran’s POV

“Let me keep you” I said in what seemed like a whisper but it was a promise that I hoped to keep till the end of time.

“Please keep me, Kieran” she whispered quietly, her eyes pleading with me. I glanced at the way her hand fits into mine like it was made for it even when everything is breaking apart.

I tightened my grip without thinking, my fingers locking around hers like if I hold hard enough, I can keep her here.

The air around us changes suddenly and there was unknown pressure that I was feeling inside of me then the bond starts to flare.

Golden light bursts between us suddenly, stretching from my chest to hers like a long thread pulled too tight and was too sacred to be broken. It continues spreading until the golden light is fully eradicated around us.
