Chapter 91. Veronica’s Offer

Shawn entered Veronica’s office at the mayor’s mansion and nodded politely. As soon as the detective sat down and cleared his throat, Veronica abruptly cut him off. She didn’t even allow Shawn to exchange pleasantries.

“Can you find Young Messer and give me information on his whereabouts, Detective?” Veronica asked straight to the point.

“Actually, Mrs. Mayor, I’m here because it still has to do with the lab report where a lot of evidence went missing,” Shawn replied, looking straight at Veronica. “Where you promised to turn everything over to the police.”
