“Thanks for coming with me… I just hate being alone in the castle…” she started to say, and I noticed that she was shaking a lot. She was the girl who was almost killed in her room, if I was not mistaken, when the pathetic serial killer was on the loose. Her sister died in her place, a story that many in the bars told as if it were a legend.
“Aren’t you afraid of me?” I asked, staring at her. I knew I scared her. I could see it in her eyes—the light that shone with fear of the unknown. She was a castle mistress now; the queen had taken her as a friend and given her a place in the castle.
“Yes, I’m sorry,” she replied. At least she was sincere; I’d appreciate that.
“Well, I’m your only option.” I had to laugh. We were almost there; the doctor’s room was on a floor very close by
