Chapter 173. Wandering Friendship

With the book in my hands and the feeling on my skin, I smiled. I had never looked forward to a book so much; its narration was perfect, catchy, and at the same time, it touched a fiber of my heart. It was as if it were exactly the words I needed, the words I wished a conscious person would say to me.
I became engrossed in reading and immersed in this wonderful world where anything is possible. Through these stories, I was able to find the comfort that no one seemed to understand.
“Excuse me, Miss Clarisa,” a voice said, knocking insistently on my door.
I removed the objects I had placed there as an obstacle to the curious who wanted to pass by without knocking and opened the door. The doctor was standing there with some papers in his hand.
