Chris was silent after announcing everything he had to report. I was as nervous as the others. No one dared to look at me except Jacob, who intertwined his hand with mine to let me know that the decision was mine.

“We are going to his castle.” I said, my eyes filled with tears. “I have decided that we will go to war.”

As he said this, the whole place was in an uproar. An uproar, shouting and bustle spread throughout the room. Jacob looked at me proudly. He stood with his imposing presence and his eyes focused on his subjects.

“It is done.” he began to say sternly. As he stood there, with his erect posture and perfect bearing, he was more villain than king, but he had the noblest heart I had ever known. “We will march to Fabricio’s’ castle tomorrow in search of an alliance, and then we will not delay the expedition any longer. I will take back my castle, which will be the home of my children and their children.”

The crowd gave him a standing ovation
