Chapter 63. Making the Save

Kora was amazed by what her son did. She never thought he could figure out how to kill a vampire.

Lucas slumps to the ground trying to catch his breath. His mother and dad were there to help. It was Kora’s magic that healed. “Your friends need you,” said Kora. She points her staff ahead opening a portal that leads to the Mystic cave. “Go now and save your friends, I will be right behind you.”

After the portal has closed, Kora switched her gaze to Detective White. He didn’t like his wife sending their son on a suicide mission all by himself. There was a concerned look on his face. “Spill it out – tell me I shouldn’t have because I can read your thoughts,” said Kora.

All those years she has been together with Detective White, she locked her mind not to see through his thought. At least that’s the privacy she could respect him with without invading his thought always.
