Chapter 70. Lurker

[Lucas’ apartment]

A full-fisted knock interrupted the quiet night of Captain White. He was fast asleep on his couch. He had come home tired that he didn’t have the strength to drag his legs to his bed. His wife has gone out for the night to perform some spells with her witches concerning her son who has journeyed into the ancestors’ world.

He wanted to dismiss the full-fisted knock he heard – although he wasn’t sure if it was a dream.

When the full-fisted knock came again, there was no doubt now.

“Anyone home?”
