Gabriel’s POV

I was not surprised to see about a dozen wolves follow Liam into the Ridge just at the stroke of midnight. The reprisal attack has cost the pack a lot of lives, so it was understandable that there would be a lot of angry wolves would want revenge. Liam did well, tapping into their primal rage to get them to follow him into battle was no mean feat.

The boy reminded me of my younger self, ambitious and determined. If anyone deserved to be an Alpha, it was definitely him, and not some sleazy, backstabbing, two-timing wolves who thinks he’s better than everyone else. Daniel would soon have his reckoning; I’ll make sure of it. But for now, the Riverside Alpha was about to feel my wrath.
